SHELLS
Paua is the Maori word for Abalone; in the Maori tradition, which is one of my personal favorites in the world, Paua is considered a symbol of the eyes, windows to the soul, and is said to be a tool that helps the ancestors see you. In New Zealand, there are strict regulations about how much Paua can be harvested per person, per day, and per year. They protect this shell and the life within it because it is sacred.
Do abalone Shells carry their own unique magic? Abalone honors the element of water and is a perfect conduit to channel the energies that ebb and flow, as our emotions.
