SERPENTINE

Also known as New Jade, Serpentine enhances meditative states, and aids in the retrieval of ancient wisdom. This stone is a powerhouse, clearing blocked or stagnant energy throughout the meridians and Chakras.

The name of this crystal comes from the Greek word Serpens, meaning snake, due to the stone’s color and patterning, and is one of the safest stones to activate and raise the Kundalini.

The Kundalini energy, or Coiled Serpent Power, is purported to reside at the base of the spine, wrapped three and a half times around the sacrum, until roused. The intensity of awakening this energy often stimulates sexual feelings as it opens new areas to create enlightenment. The energy of the Kundalini moves up the spine, from the Root Chakra until it emerges at the Crown Chakra. This can cause an extraordinary experience and may feel like a hot flame as it makes its way up.

Serpentine is associated with the Heart Chakra. This green stone can assist with healing problems within the heart and lungs, boost energy, and it is an excellent stone for cellular regeneration.
