SEPTARIAN
Septarian is unique in that it is formed as a result of volcanic eruptions, which chemically bonded to deep-sea life and deep-sea sediment to form a mud ball. They are composed of Calcite, which makes up the yellow centers, and Aragonite, which are the brown lines. The outer grey rock is Limestone.
The name Septarian comes from the Latin word septum meaning seven, or saeptum which means a wall, or enclosure. As the mud ball dried, they shrank inside and had a tendency to create a distinctive pattern of seven points in every direction.
Septarian, also called Dragon Stone, is a wonderful stone to wear or carry to speak in public, as it gives us confidence and allows us to gain the attention of an audience. A grounding stone, Septarian allows for better tolerance and patience, as well as emotional flexibility. It can gauge the underlying cause of an illness when meditated upon and focuses the body on healing itself. Septarian absorbs energy when held over a period of time, and transmits that energy into strength when needed.
Septarian opens, heals, and activates the Root Chakra. It is associated with the steady persistence of Taurus.
